Woman on 37 cheating charges

A WOMAN’S online crime spree landed her in the dock on Wednesday facing 37 charges.

Ayu Najiha Ang is accused of cheating 36 people – possibly more pending ongoing Police investigations – of nearly $9,000, money her victims paid to buy Apple iPhones, Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) game consoles, Fairprice vouchers and other products from her.

To get customers, the 34-year-old advertised items at incredibly low prices on popular local forums. For example, an iPhone, which usually costs about $800, was going for just $100, according to court documents. PSPs, which usually retail for more than $300 apiece, were going for $50.
